• The Millennials of the Capricorn type - lunar nodes, Jupiter and the future (part 7/7)

It's not that one planetary configuration (even as impactful as the stellium) can describe the whole generation of people. The Millennials with the Capricorn stellium are a generation of people born over the period of 2,5 years (and with the Millennials of the Capricorn type it's 10 years); during those years there were many other planetary combinations in the sky that influenced and modified e.g. the Millennials' goals and motivations. And so one can divide the Millennials of the Capricorn type as those with Saturn in the sign of Capricorn (the Capricorn stellium), Aquarius, Pisces and Aries and each of these groups has a different experience of how structure/tradition impacts their lives.

Now I'd like to focus exclusively on the Millennials with the Capricorn stellium in the context of one more astrological object - the lunar nodes.

One needs to remember that even though the lunar nodes are not a physical object in the sky like the planets are, they are an extremely sensitive energy point (vortex), thus have an equally substantial influence on the human's development to the planets.

By definition, the lunar nodes are the points of the intersection of the Moon's orbit with the ecliptic (which, from the Earth's perspective, is an apparent 360o path the Sun seems to pass when circling Earth), staying at one zodiac sign about 18-19 months. The nodes symbolize the intersection of the Sun's and Moon's path in the sky, thus their meaning refers e.g. to the connection of the awareness (Sun) with the subconsciousness (Moon) or the male and female aspect of the human. Personally I'm fascinated with the lunar nodes and this is why I'd like to weave their meaning into my analysis of the Millennials with the Capricorn stellium.

Some basic information before I get into the interpretation. There are two lunar nodes, the North and South one that are always in exact opposition i.e. the North Node in 15o13' Aries means the South Node is in 15o13' Libra. In a nutshell, the North Node tells of the awareness, talents and ways of expression we strive to develop that contribute directly to our spiritual development and destiny, while the South Node shows our skills and instinctive ways of expression that no longer serve us this life as they indicate our comfort zone. The common rule is that without one node there's no other, the North Node and the "life road we should take" doesn't exist without the South Node and "the path we need to give up". One cannot cross the finish line of a race when there's no starting point. I always interpret both the North and South Node.

For the purposes of this article, I want to present a simplified node's interpretation. The lunar nodes are also divided into mean and true, I'm using the true one. In order to discover the individual's destiny and spiritual road according to the nodes, one needs to look at the whole natal chart, especially the node's placement in the natal houses and the condition of their ruler (the ruler of the sign the nodes are in)! Furthermore, each planet that conjuncts any of the nodes will deepen and change the meaning of the node's in the context of the whole personality.

The nodes on the Pisces/Virgo axis

The Millennials born from 3rd December 1988 till 22nd May 1989 have the North Node in Pisces and the South one in Virgo.

People with this node placement have a strong need to establish order in life (Virgo), but their journeys of finding this perfect life road (according to their expectations) seem to be fruitless as life constantly puts them in situations when things go wrong. The career paths, partners, life circumstances or other important life domains of these people never seem stable and predictable enough (Virgo) for them to finally let it go and allow themselves to be a little more carefree and bubbly (Pisces). Nothing remains certain enough nor sufficiently planned to meet the needs of security these people have.

In this case, the comfort zone is symbolized by the sign of Virgo, which tries to organize its life so that every endeavor goes smoothly and according to the plan. These people usually have an intellectual approach to life and developed planning skills (or at least the will to plan),but their life path and destiny lead them into leaving the "Virgo state of mind" i.e. the compulsive need to schedule every possible detail of their life. The goal is Pisces, which also has a lot to do with perfection, but of a ... spiritual kind. The spiritual perfection (according to Pisces' definition) is about understanding that everything in life has its meaning (even if we don't see it) and that the cosmic timing indicates the best possible development scenario for us. People with the North Node in Pisces learn how to notice the Universe (God, Higher Forces) in their lives and, in a certain way, blindly believe and trust the Higher Order.

People with Virgo South Node want their life to play out in a predictable way or for it to at least have a direction of proceeding. When they go for a trip, they tend to check multiple times whether everything is packed or the GPS works as intended (getting lost = no plan = disaster; although they still prepare for potential problems), maybe the second GPS if the first one breaks down. The change of traveling route is out of question unless it has been earlier taken into the account in the plan. Do you understand what's this about? Virgo indicates a mind always planning and working and along with other natal chart placements, the high-geared mental activity can lead to nervousness and serious headaches. All the failures associated with planning forces them to accept that they don't really know what the "life plan" is for them (Pisces). The best course of action is to trust the Higher Forces' wisdom. When they do so, everything starts to work out, issues magically resolve themselves or the solutions come without any effort from their side. There's also this fantastic feeling of wholeness when tuning to Life, serenity and the sensation of being a part of something bigger.

One of the disadvantages of the South Node in Virgo is putting too much emphasis and relying on the intellectual analysis of situations. These people want to know all the details so badly they strip the issue to particles and in the process lose the sight of the bigger picture. It's similar to peeling an onion, layer after layer until there's no onion left. And when there's no solution in sight, the minds start to form various dark scenarios regarding everything that could go wrong. From that point on, it's very close to distress, mental restlessness and a mind that doesn't want to shut off.

The North Node in Pisces symbolizes finding the solutions by surrendering and leaving it to the Higher Forces to figure things out. Shifting from the Virgo level into Pisces comes with a realization that everything has a meaning, even the failures and "circumstances going against the plan". For that reason, it's important for these people to initiate and engage e.g. in meditations, various spiritual pursuits or anything that allows them to have more contact with their inner world. All of these techniques help in chilling out and realizing that all those dark scenarios the mind keeps producing might not even manifest as the circumstances could change or help could be acquired from the Higher Forces in the form of intuitive knowledge.

Their biggest talent is the ability to spread the higher awareness or spirituality among people by using inborn technical skills and practical point of view.

North node in Pisces in the context of the Millennials

Subconsciously this group searches for security but their mind is too attached to the physical aspect and doing things flawlessly. Sometimes they expect from others the high standards they expect from themselves. And here's where the Millennials' problems appear i.e. creating impossible to meet standards: full professionalism and the seriousness without taking it easy.

When the Millennials ask themselves the questions similar to "where's the place I belong? where's my destined work?", they start to function from the South Node position. Virgo (and generally the earth signs) need something tangible in order to define themselves, often identifying themselves with the vocation. The state of "no-work" is incredibly hard for both Capricorn and Virgo as these signs need something tangible to be sure their work and efforts don't go in vain. The issue of the Millennials with this lunar node placement is the deeply rooted yearning to fit into something and finding a physical validation of their worth, but the goal of these Millennials is not to fit to anything outer, but to focus on the inside.

Pisces is a tremendous support for these Millennials, because it leads them directly to search for the safe harbor they can use to rest from the everyday routine. In some sense, Pisces "softens" the cold and dry Capricorn, giving it a little more life, sensitivity and empathy. The Millennials with the North Node in Pisces learn how to believe in positive results, become more open and optimistic towards changes and generally the goodwill of life.

The nodes on the Aquarius/Leo axis

The Millennials born from 22nd May 1989 till 18th November 1990 have the North Node in Aquarius and the South one in Leo.

People with this nodal placement have a strong need to be recognized (Leo) but the more they focus on themselves and their sense of uniqueness, the less praise they receive from the society. Now this is quite problematic as the desire to be noticed for their accomplishments and special traits of the personality (Leo) just doesn't seem to attract enough attention for them to fulfil another need i.e. to become free (Aquarius) in self-expression. The difficulty of this nodal placement lies in a conviction that belonging to a greater group and impacting the society (Aquarius) can only be done by becoming special or by focusing the attention on themselves (Leo). Many times we see how discussions with these people as participants turn towards defending one's own beliefs (Leo) rather than trying to achieve an objective agreement for the good of every side (Aquarius).

In this case, the comfort zone is symbolized by the sign of Leo, which suggests these people are accustomed to being unique or treated appropriate to their position. Think of them as shop customers expecting the store staff to run the place like they desire as "the customer is always right". The South Node in Leo doesn't like to be treated like everyone else, that's why people with this nodal placement tend to be resentful of others, thinking "They don't get why I'm important". Such a behaviour can easily make the environment isolate and keep distance from them, not to mention getting any form of special treatment.

The presence of Leo shows where we are prone to have an over-developed ego that often times prevents our true desires (of the inner world) from surfacing. People with the South Node in this sign could be on a shopping spree to obtain the best clothes or the newest mobile device in order to get into the "social limelight", even for a moment, or get those likes on the social media websites. They think they want those items, but in fact they want to arouse the attention around them or feel the satisfaction that their opinion somehow enriches the society. But the environment actually senses it's all about them being in the centre of attention.

The North Node in Aquarius indicates the road to maturation and fulfilment includes building an awareness of the other's needs. The spiritual development lies, indeed, in supporting the uniqueness ... but of other people. One of the best talent this North Node can develop is being able to help groups of people to get in contact with their own dreams and individuality, which the South Node in Leo has mastered. They key to this nodal placement is making the shift from me into the community, only this can make the attention appear instead of constantly pursuing it. The focus on a larger cause/idea than a single human (Aquarius) gives the people with this nodal placement purpose and the capability to contribute to the society, while the Leo South Node supports this cause by using one's unique abilities to serve for the good of everyone around.

Usually the Aquarius north node comes with an intuition that allows to see what people consider good/popular or what can attract the attention of the masses. This trait can prove extremely useful in many professions and on the personal level i.e. finding new friends. For example, these people could be artists capable of creating spectacles bringing in crowds as they intuitively feel the trends within the local groups. Aquarius is about building the community awareness, being the messenger of the future by promoting e.g. New Age movements, animal and environmental protection, though it being involved with the nodes points towards feelings that "doing something for the group means I have to get rid of parts of my own desires", which isn't exactly true. The presence of Aquarius shows there's some kind of unconventional knowledge or way of thinking useful for groups of people ONLY if they are totally true to the individual sharing them with others.

Depending on the position of the natal Sun, the Leo South Node can come with many fears e.g. fear of failures and disapproval of others, which can effectively prevent these people from working for the benefit of the community. In such cases, the node native should remember that not everyone is going to understand their ideals as the local (or global) society needs time/experience to think in terms of the collective. North Node in Aquarius is about the acceptance of one's uniqueness and the willingness to take risk and putting oneself on the front of the unfavourable environment.

North node in Aquarius in the context of the Millennials

The Millennials' needs to be recognized (South Sode in Leo) may lead them towards playing roles i.e. accepting certain widely acknowledged ways of behaving (consistent with the tradition) only to be appreciated. But ultimately this way of functioning becomes a burden, which isn't easy to take off one's shoulders when they keep telling themselves "I need to play my part" or "meet the expectations put on me". Earlier I've mentioned how the intuition of the people with North Node in Aquarius helps them see what others want, which could work for the Millennials' undoing when they start to manipulate their image in the eyes of others. You see, Leo often does many things for the public and treats their applause as a barometer of how life is successful and fulfilling. This group of Millennials needs to learn how in a honest and tangible way (the ruler of Aquarius, Uranus, is in Capricorn) show one's individuality and from this position watch the society's reaction, deciding whether to cater to a particular group or not.

An emphasized Capricorn and the delays and disappointments associated with it tend to make the Millennials compare their life with that of others: "They have a better job/money/partner and their life seems smooth". Such an attitude directly invokes the South Node in Leo and e.g. the jealousy of an unsatisfied ego. The Millennials can progress in life in a healthy manner by using their intuition and surrounding themselves with groups that reflect their ideals. This will help them see that many of their peers actually go through similar challenges, which in turn makes them not treat everything so personally (Leo) and feel equal to others. And so the shift towards Aquarius happens.

The nodes on the Capricorn/Cancer axis

The Millennials born from 18th November 1990 till 1st August 1992 have their North Node in Capricorn and the South one in Cancer.

People with this nodal placement have a strong need to depend on someone and receive support especially on the emotional level. It's just that they never feel secured enough in order to take responsibility for their lives, find a direction for their self-development and become a master of their life (Capricorn).

In this case, the comfort zone is symbolized by Cancer, which often times manifests as the presence of intense emotional bonds and dependencies on others (including family members), which greatly influence their life. These people have a tendency to identify their own sense of security based on those bonds. For example, they take care of someone close hoping he/she feels fine enough so that they can finally feel the same. These node natives search for an environment that's going to be a safe harbor from any emotional storm along with people willing to understand, protect and take care of them. It's just that they keep finding isolation instead of nourishment. Their spiritual road is finding the courage to leave those people in need around them in order to find their own goals, ambitions and start focusing on them (Capricorn). Sometimes acting this way equals severing the bonds completely, other times it's about approaching the emotional ties from a different perspective i.e. respecting their own Self, needs and emotional state regardless of the possible conflict between them and those in need.

One of the Cancer sign trade mark is reacting very emotionally to what's going on (e.g. when facing problems), hoping that the close ones come to their aid. But these close one's are often not eager to help (or cannot do it) and the behaviour of the Cancer South Node people is interpreted as attempts to manipulate. That's the time when the lessons of the North Node in Capricorn take place i.e. realizing one cannot control others (e.g. via emotional blackmail) and the only way of obtaining support is by taking care of oneself.

Another scenario from these people's lives is their need to take care of someone close, like a family member, because of their emotional issues. And so they dedicate much of their own time to be sensitive and empathic, which drains the strength from them that (in foresight) should have been used to first solve their own problems instead of rushing to help others. In such cases, the Cancer South Node indicates the sacrifice of one's own ambitions and self-respect resulting in hopelessness and lack of faith in one's competence and power. The North Node in Capricorn shows that the solution lies in taking full responsibility for self, e.g. telling those in need of their true feelings and not giving the permission to be used. In this context, Capricorn is about realizing one's right to oppose and say: "I don't like it and don't want to take part in it". Such attitude gives them a lot of strength and inner motivation, which these people search for.
It's extremely important for these people to set themselves realistic to achieve goals. Often times the North Node in Capricorn has big ambitions and wants to do, let's say, 40 push-ups in one swing. For someone without any preparation, this goal is too much, which may lead them to abandon the idea whatsoever. Now Capricorn suggests a different strategy e.g. starting with warm-ups, then 10 push-ups, 15, 20 until gradually reaching the goal. Setting oneself the goal and achieving it is a tangible demonstration of will and strength to change one's life, which people with this node really need.

The North Node in Capricorn is a potential for developing a great talent i.e. the ability to approach people/life situation from the position of the authority, while the South Node in Cancer provides the sensitivity and instincts of nurturing that the typical reserved Capricorn lacks. There's a possible downside to this though as the Cancerian "need to depend" may slip to the professional life unnoticed. People with North Node in Capricorn could be great bosses, organizing the work of many but still have a patron above them, just not to take this effort of taking full responsibility for self. This is one of the reasons they have the notion of "everything getting delayed" as they themselves delay the stage of becoming an Adult.

Also, the South Node in Cancer grants a developed sensitivity and intuitive knowledge of how others feel. But when these people observe all those in need, they may become lenient towards their lack of success, which again delays the success symbolized by the north node in Capricorn.

North node in Capricorn in the context of the Millennials

The comfort zone of Cancer is a symbolic reflection of the past and any sort of attachment to it, e.g. nostalgia, remembering how it used to be. So we can say this nodal axis just puts more emphasis on the general themes of the Capricorn stellium.

Sometimes this group of Millennials may need several nights to explain to themselves and accept that someone rejected them or something went wrong. They just have an instinctive tendency to go into sentiments, of which they can be oblivious about. The South Node and Cancer can work to their advantage once they learn to look into the past only to learn from their mistakes.

The Millennials with the Capricorn stellium generally have a tendency not to appreciate their own work, sometimes even not taking the recognition for their efforts. Such is the case especially with the younger group that hasn't developed self-confidence yet. To me, the North Node in Capricorn is about taking responsibility for the wrongs AND successes!

    Final notes regarding the nodes

When you look at the signs (Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn) the nodes occupied during 1988-1991, you see they are ruled by Neptune, Uranus and Saturn accordingly, which are the three basic planets of the Capricorn stellium. From an astrological point of view, that's quite a coincidence. So what does it mean?

I don't know. Haha, sorry. My guess is that the stellium is more important in terms of the spiritual road than it would seem at first glance. There are Millennials that don't feel pressured to live out the potential of the stellium, but they too will have to relate to it at some point in their life. It's like this whole sub-generation wanted to make sure they don't miss out the challenges of the stellium.

From a practical point of view, the Millennials with the north node in Pisces/Aquarius/Capricorn should pay extra attention to the traits typical to Neptune/Uranus/Saturn. Why is this important to know? Let's take a Millennial with the North Node in Pisces with Uranus being a planetary leader. This individual has to be grounded enough to make his unconventional life style manifest physically, which is already a challenge. The intellectual/research type attitude is the driving force, but life circumstances may keep making him/her pay attention to the spiritual matters and perhaps apply imagination and sensitivity to all those revolutionary ideas. Will this individual feel comfortable developing something that doesn't come easily for him?

The Millennials with the South Nodes in Virgo and Leo share a common feature i.e. both like to insist on their own point of view, though for different reasons. The motivation behind Virgo lies in the mind and the need to follow the plan, while Leo is more about making demands and expectations. Another similarity is the ability to identify with other people, although the North Node in Pisces puts an emphasis on empathy and emotions, while the Aquarius is more interested in the intellectual similarities.

The nodal placement on the Capricorn/Cancer axis is a separate case, because there's a big chance that planets belonging to the stellium are linked (via the conjunction aspect) with the North Node, thus greatly modifying the life road of these particular individuals.

Each and every Millennial of the Capricorn type

After such an extensive description of the Millennials with the Capricorn stellium, I'd like to say a few words about the differences between them (1988-1991) and other Millennials of the same type (1991-1998). In my opinion, Saturn is the factor differentiating each groups of the "Capricorn Millennials". During 1988-1998, this planet was going through Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries.
Saturn is a direct symbol of structures, tradition and the past in general, so when it's connected to Uranus and Neptune (like it was during 1988-1991), its challenges become very dynamic and all of this energy just needs to manifest itself, especially in the pivotal life maturing moments e.g. during the age of 7,14,21 and 28. Saturn linked to any of our life field indicates the inevitability of confronting who we are (not). One of the things Saturn with Uranus and Neptune symbolizes is the necessity of maturing on the field associated with gaining and integrating the social awareness into our personality.

The Millennials born few years later have their Saturn in different signs, thus their experience of tradition usually doesn't "force" them to immediately confront their individuality with everything that has been established by the society. Often times the discomfort and the delays are not significant enough to motivate them early for reevaluating the structure of their life. In their cases, Uranus and Neptune can seem like "dead points" until they become activated e.g. by the natal chart and the connection (aspect) with other planets, the placement in the 1st, 10th, 7th and 4th house or by entering various life cycles (showed by transits/progressions), which could put an emphasis on discovering in oneself the traits associated with the stellium.

The Millennials born in and after 1995 also have their Pluto in Sagittarius, contrary to their predecessors with Pluto in Scorpio. The different zodiac sign of Pluto (third of the generational planets, alongside Uranus and Neptune) significantly influences the character and the differences between the Millennials, although this is something I won't write about in this series.

The Capricorn stellium and Jupiter in Cancer, on an example

    Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PewDiePie; hour unknown

Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, commonly known under the pseudonym PewDiePie, is a YouTuber giving his thoughts on computer games and a producer of videos (e.g. vlogs) with his reactions regarding various topics. PewDiePie is an example of a Millennial that achieved an enormous success (including a financial one) in the Internet world. In December 2016, Forbes magazine named Kjellberg as the highest-earning YouTuber with an annual income reaching $15 million, while Times placed him on the list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Unfortunately I don't have his birth hour, which makes the interpretation of his personality and vocational success quite hard. So instead of doing that, I focused on his stellium in Capricorn (Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) opposing the natal Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter's presence in Cancer (approximately 31 July 1989 till 19th August 1990) gave the millennial stellium more prominence and potential than the basic one has and PewDiePie's history is a perfect example of that.

Young Kjellberg is a son of influential parents i.e. the CEO's of serious international corporations. In his case, Saturn's favourable placement in Capricorn (domicile) manifested as the material support in the form of his parents' wealth. Now this very Saturn emphasizes the theme of continuing the tradition and keeping a certain life status, and so Kjellberg's parents advised him an appropriate career direction (Capricorn) consistent to how they functioned in the society. After finishing high school, Kjellberg began to study economics and technology management on one of the prestigious universities. 3 years later he decided to leave the studies, saying his decision was based on boredom, inability to find oneself in the environment nor identify with the people there. The dropping out of the university studies wasn't something his parents liked and so they decided to no longer financially support the future of their son. From that point on, Kjellberg was on his own, needing to lead an independent life (Saturn in Capricorn). His first career idea was to focus on his passion i.e. graphic editing. He tried to get into one of the best Scandinavian advertisement agencies, at least as an intern, but unsuccessfully. It looks like the conventional vocational paths didn't work out.

After the failure of getting the internship, Kjellberg decided to focus on creating computer games videos, which meant the necessity to make a living out of selling prints of his Photoshop art and working at the hotdog stand.

The Internet and YouTube videos transformed Kjellberg into PewDiePie. What started as thrilling and interesting video content creation suddenly began to form into considerable source of income as his YouTube channel continued to gain popularity, passing the 1-milion subscribers mark in 2012.

The Capricorn stellium and the cost of growth

There are a few ways to tackle the interpretation of Jupiter linked to the planets of the Capricorn stellium, think Jupiter-Saturn is the best to explain the overall meaning of those planetary combinations. People with these planetary connections often make substantial contributions to the social awareness, e.g. by dictating new trends or giving new energy to old projects. Both planets combined symbolize the potential for becoming widely recognized and appreciated in the society. The overall potential of Jupiter-Saturn is not only about the presence of the connection, but also by its quality.

In case of the millennial stellium, Jupiter opposes Saturn (and Uranus, Neptune), which changes the whole dynamic. The opposition aspect symbolizes conflicts and feelings of struggling as one feels internally torn. It's about attempting to balance two opposing forces, although compromises seldom seem to help. People with oppositions in their charts just have hard time fully committing to one (or the other) domain represented by the planets. In PewDiePie's case, the conflict manifests as conservatism and established rules (Saturn) vs. the yearning for unlimited self-expression (Jupiter). The public has mixed opinions regarding the style of his videos. For some, they are a symbol of goofy, childish and unbearable show-off, for others PewDiePie represents authenticity and honest behavior, not influenced by censorship to make things more politically correct.

PewDiePie lives out his inner conflict through the divided opinions of the society. And people's favour (viewership) determines his distant future and success. In his early career years, PewDiePie was boldly making fun of rapes in his videos. This attitude causes controversy and was universally criticised, here's how Kjellberg responded to it1:
"I just wanted to make clear that I'm no longer making rape jokes, as I mentioned before I'm not looking to hurt anyone and I apologise if it ever did."
A couple of years later he apologized for yet more of his commenting styles i.e. using the word "gay" or "nigger" in a pejorative meaning. Now in January 2017, PewDiePie published a video about the Fiverr website, which allowed the Internet users to depute any sort of task for just $5. Kjellberg tried it out for himself and instructed two random people to get out in public with a sign "DEATH TO ALL JEWS". The purpose of the video was so show how absurd things can be deputed for money on the Internet. During the recording, he even apologized for his behaviour, thinking the duo wouldn't be up for it. The video caused a wave of critique and PewDiePie apologized in another statement1:
"I am in no way supporting any kind of hateful attitudes, [...] I think of the content that I create as entertainment, and not a place for any serious political commentary (...) though this was not my intention, I understand that these jokes were ultimately offensive."
PewDiePie's reputation was additionally strained by the favourable comments from the neo-nazi movements environment that promoted the dominance of the white race above all others. The final result was Disney ending up their partnership with him and Google removing his videos from their program promoting YouTubers. PewDiePie became a target of attacks from many journalists from Wall Street Journal. He responded to all those attacks by releasing another video and again apologizing to everyone that was offended with his behaviour, also pointing out to how his statements were put out of context.

The audience PewDiePie attracted was large and diversified, which is symbolized by the Jupiter opposing Saturn. Thanks to the society, he could experience the extreme in opinions (opposition), learning how not to create potentially offensive videos. His growth in the public domain (Jupiter) was at the expense of his reputation (Saturn), not to mention the disappointment PewDiePie experienced when he couldn't reconcile his style of expression with the established norms and rules. The cost of his attempts to balance two powerful sides was a lost reputation (Saturn) and the growth possibilities (Jupiter) offered by established corporations (Capricorn). The benefit is maturing to be thoughtful of the emotions of people (Jupiter and Cancer) and realizing the consequences (Saturn) of one's actions in the public domain.

PewDiePie's whole carrier and income is based on sponsorship, content creation and self-promotion, although this wouldn't be possible if not for the decision to pursue his passions and base his position in the world (Capricorn) on entertaining the public with his emotional reactions (Cancer).

The meaning of Jupiter in Cancer for the Millennials

The early experiences of the tension between Capricorn and Cancer many Millennials handled by identifying with one form of expression while ignoring the other.

Those focused more on Saturn (and Capricorn stellium) renounced higher goals and aspirations in order to meet the challenges of daily life and earn enough to survive. These decisions are often preceded by disappointments (Saturn) regarding false hopes (Jupiter) or intuition, which was too brief or short-lasting (Jupiter-Uranus) to consistently based one's life on. By "intuition" I mean having the sense to be in the right place at the right time and generally catching up glimpses of the future that together with the optimistic attitude help the Jupiterian people to attract benevolent circumstances. Many times this intuition was too subtle (Neptune) to be of any real use. Picking the Capricorn side over Cancer one means focusing on how things look physically instead of favouring the benefits of emotions and bonds on the whole personality.

Those focused more on Jupiter e.g. have a vision of their own future and faith in one's success, although they don't want to take the effort to be disciplined when working towards building their position in the world. In some cases, they may not even see or be aware of how much work their visions require to be successful. Their intuitive vision (Jupiter) could demand so much "stretching" from their personality that the more closed and less aware Millennials just can't do it. Regardless of the scenario, this Millennial group is deeply convinced that one day fate is magically going to change ... but it either doesn't happen or doesn't last long enough.

The key to Jupiter opposing the stellium is learning how to use the strong traits of Capricorn and Cancer while simultaneously balancing out the weak sides of both signs. Capricorn tends to be very stiff, sometimes even impersonal and gloomy, but thanks to Cancer it can show its "human", emotional side, which makes it easier to connect with everyone around. Now Cancer has a tendency for emotional swings and depending on someone in terms of well-being, while Capricorn can give it integrity and common sense that helps taking responsibility for one's state of feeling. But what matters the most is the conscious effort to try and find a balance between Capricorn and Cancer tendencies. It's not always possible to meet the needs of both sides (that's why the opposition is considered a stressful aspect), but the will to take action and attempt to find harmony is what can make the Millennials go forward in life and excel at their talents. The reward for doing so is great, e.g. PewDiePie has a chance to create standards (let's hope positive ones) in this no-man-land the Internet is. His life story can be an example of how to discuss important topics (in a not-so-serious manner), but without the aggressive language so that many people can relate to it. And everything with the respect to people with different opinions.

Not every Millennial has such a range of influence like PewDiePie, but each Millennial with Jupiter in Cancer can contribute something important to the society!

    Saturn Return

Have you heard of the term "mid-life crisis"? It is a word commonly used in many languages and the society is quite aware of this life phase. There are a few more crises out there that are not so popular, often times just neglected by the general public. Saturn Return is a specific crisis-like period concerning people approximately between 27 to 30 years old that lasts about 2,5 year. Astrology defines it by the moment Saturn (moving in the sky) returns to the same sign it was present in during the birth of a particular individual or groups of people.

People in their Saturn Return start to seriously think about their place, position and future in the world. At one point the inner voice keeps telling them one cannot just do whatever in life, now it's the time to take responsibility, whether you like it or not. Everyone has to do their homework, which involves revising one's plans, figuring out how to progress in life by improving their skills, working towards setting their goals to life and reevaluating one's life choices and their consequences. The best course of action is to stop for a moment, do a retrospection and think about their life. Many will notice their obligations at work have increased, perhaps family life demands way more attention or many commitments get in the way of comfortably enjoying life. Adulthood starts now.

Saturn Return is a major shift on the internal level though. The majority of people start to feel nostalgia, reminding themselves not so much of their past, but the moments they weren't so embittered. You see, natal Saturn symbolizes e.g. the armour of cynicism and reserve that we put on our sensitive side. It's a process happening on the instinctive level, that's how we've functioned in school, college and early work places. Back then, we were aware that underneath this defensive system there's a part of us that's fragile, needing attention and too sensitive to express itself freely (and in case of the Millennials, unique talents that were too unique to externalize with full potential). Even many of our close ones knew of our inner world. Then life changed. Old friends or co-workers were no longer there. Suddenly we've been surrounded by people who didn't have a clue that there's something more to this coldness and rigidity. As time went by, the armour stopped being a tool of protection, but became an integral part of the personality. It used to be a piece of clothing one could take off at any time, but now we realize we'd die without it just like a cyborg would die without his/her artificial parts.

Saturn Return is the first major check-point in our lives that determines whether we'll continue wearing the armour or do something about it.

The influence of past choices on the present

From my observations, people entering their Saturn Return can be divided into two major groups - the "have" and "have not's". Each of them is going to build foundations for their future life and reap the rewards of what they've sown, but in a different way.

The "have's" are the ones who managed to find a satisfying way to express themselves in the public domain. They usually know the direction they want to take in life and/or have much satisfaction from their career field. This group is going to get rewarded for their hard work, dedication and discipline e.g. by having a promotion, earning a reputation and respect in the field. The physical aspect of life often improves for them as they earn and can afford more. Their struggle might concern seeing the strong influence of habits and expectations. Once they gain the reputation of being "so good, professional and talented", the society might build a better version of them inside their heads. At some point, life circumstances start to put a strain on them. Suddenly they notice their failure and how useless they are under the pressure. Was all that work really worth it?

The "have not's" are the ones who didn't find a career field for themselves and can't seem to stabilize enough in the career domain to become independent. They are the ones whose main focus is on sowing the seeds instead of reaping the rewards. But honestly, they also reap what they have sown due to their immaturity, allowing others to lead their lives or not having time/health to dedicate to work (sometimes life happens). Setting the foundation for the future life is going to be a hard task as the inner pressure to achieve something substantial and tangible is going to be great and many of them are tempted to throw away everything (even their passions) just to make a living. The natural consequence of sowing seeds and waiting for the plant to grow, is time, delays and restrictions and many people feel like they cannot really afford it. Or can they? In the northern hemisphere, Capricorn symbolizes winter and the unfavourable, rough land, sowing seeds in such conditions is hard though not impossible.

All entering their Saturn Return ask themselves a question, though not always out loud: If I had the choice, would I have picked differently in life? Or would I do the same, but just take a different approach? This is the difference between the "have's" and "have not's".

Many people, especially the Millennials, had already proved their wisdom and maturity thinking "But I'm already matured, having to go through all different stuff" but Saturn Return is something different. The Millennials, with their Uranus and Neptune linked to Saturn, are discovering a completely new meaning to adulthood.  This could be about having a baby, which gives a new perspective on what patience truly is or how important free time was. In other cases, it could be about getting rid of expectations regarding simple answers. Saturn Return shows the difference between "those being x years old" and adults. Age doesn't always translate into experience, which can be seen with the "x years old" that desperately want the environment, leaders and authorities to provide simple solutions to their dilemmas. Often times they'll be satisfied with whatever they'll get. Now adults simply start to question more, ask "why, what's the purpose?", discarding simple answers.

Many people, particularly the Millennials, are going to face the social, government pressure that will force upon them those "simple answers", which can make their maturing process become extreme and polarized (Saturn-Uranus) and the youth more divided than previous generations. Some will pick the tradition, some will retreat from the social life, not being able to relate to the society.

The "Capricorn Millennials" and Saturn Return

The Saturn Return period for the Millennials with the Capricorn stellium starts on 21st December 2017 (+/- day depending on the place, hour of birth) and ends on 18th December 2020, although from 23rd March till 1st July 2020 Saturn enters Aquarius for a brief moment, which will be like a breath of relief for them). The most intense life periods for individual people will overlap with the moments Saturn in the sky conjuncts their planets in Capricorn, especially the natal Saturn.

The "Millennial Capricorn" is strongly connected with tradition, which will be the main focus point. In the past, adulthood brought independence in life, which culminated with getting a serious position, commitment like marriage or starting a family. But the presence of Uranus and Neptune with Saturn makes the transition into adulthood not so obvious and easy like it would be with simply going with the traditional models (Saturn in Capricorn).

Today's society largely delays becoming independent, because of a huge time investment into learning and achieving a relative stabilization. And even after earning a desired diploma or title, a lot of the Millennials experience a depressing uncertainty of the future, despite investing so much of their time and energy into self-development. In my opinion, the Millennials with Saturn in Capricorn will realize that all these "traditional culminations regarding life independence" are not as great as they thought they'd be. All the material stuff doesn't bring satisfaction and it may, in fact, limit their life as more responsibilities cuts them off from doing what they care about.

The Millennials will be disappointed with adulthood and everything it represents. It will be tempting to keep looking and comparing to their peers, past and authorities, which could bring out feelings of inferiority, because they got stuck. The feeling of an inhospitable present makes them act in a chaotic way, having only a short perspective ahead of them (Uranus) or temporary/shaky solutions (Neptune). All of those feelings (including e.g. fear of failures) could deepen the paralysis and deadlock in life.

Saturn Return may seem like an ordeal, but there's several good sides to it. One of them is finally being able to make sense of all those previous delays, disappointments and struggles. Life has prepared the Millennials to gain the skills needed to face the challenges of Saturn Return and sowing the seeds in harsh conditions. The reward is big i.e. leading one's life consciously, regardless of how many stupid things they did and much they agonized over it.

    Saturn Return and Pluto transits

There are a lot of details to the interpretation of the Saturn Return I haven't mentioned. This period will emphasize not only the meaning and potential of the stellium (more or less similar to each Millennial), but the domain of life it influences i.e. stellium house placement (an individual matter). Millennials with specific planetary positions e.g. with planets in 12-20o of Pisces are going to find Saturn Return very spiritual in nature, although there'll be a lot of confusion and feelings of being suspended in life, even to the point of not being able to plan their future. There are many more similar situations like these, but right now I'd like to write about one in particular.

It's worth noting that for the Millennials with the Capricorn stellium born between 1990-1991, Saturn Return will be an extreme and rather painful experience, as life circumstances will revolve around getting rid of all blockages and inner patterns of behaviour that stop the flow of the Millennials' true life force. This is due to Saturn Return coinciding with the Pluto transit throughout Capricorn sign.

Many Millennials will approach these changes from the position of fighting for power and even survival. The defensive attitude will most likely be the primary mode of functioning, just because you may feel like being dominated ... or needing to dominate others to make them go away. Saturn and Capricorn are distrustful by nature and with Pluto in the picture, there will be issues with trust in general... especially trusting life.

Pluto manifests itself as a destroyer of pretty much everything, leaving behind only ashes. These particular Millennials will have to purify their own "life field" by burning every plant present there, so that new crops can grow in their place. In some cases, outer circumstances will set ablaze various spheres of life and there will be nothing to return to anyway, the only way out is trying to move forward. Within all this destruction cycle it's hard to see the real meaning behind Pluto, which is eliminating what has been artificial in life in order to make space for our true selves. But as I've mentioned, there are no simple answers.

In its best, Saturn Return and Pluto can lead to making mature decisions that will result in sudden and spectacular shifts in life. But often times the transformation process (especially the 1800 one) takes time, which can be unpleasant to the point of being insurmountable. Capricorns tends to resist changes, because it likes the comfort of predictability and stability. That's why one's attitude towards destruction and changes is crucial for being able to face whatever fears/sorrow that surfaces from our inner world.

    Tips for the Millennials :-)

One time I've read an awesome statement on the Internet that I'd like to present here in the context of the Millennials (and many others too!).

To be honest, the only thing that keeps you in place is the illusion of safety (Saturn-Neptune), it's this rational voice telling you that stability and predictability is necessary to have a happy life. But there's never any sort of safety net out there. Nothing will help you more than your will and energy to act for your own benefit (Capricorn). These traits are the catalyst, which will make the proper people appear in your lives and help create a life fully beneficial for you.

One of the Capricorns (and the Earth signs) traps is identifying too much with the material aspect, "with the outer". Work, money, power, all of this becomes a destination place. But Capricorn's goals (especially in case of the Millennials) is not the destination, but the direction of the journey. The goal is something that keep you moving (anywhere), because the most important thing is to not be stagnant.

So "Millennial Capricorns", don't sit in one place, trying to figure out what you'd be a master at or what you could do for the rest of your life. Not many people can correctly identify it. Instead of that, pick something that seems interesting and try it. You have the ambition to be a famous artist? Start from drawing, experiment with techniques, try and work on it and with time you'll see that you may be doing something different than what you wanted, but still be using the skills you've learned in a way you haven't even imagined (Uranus).

Sometimes things won't work out, sometimes you won't like something. That's ok, it's normal. Don't feel bad about changing your mind, no matter if you've done something for an hour or many years. Do something that interests you and motivates to move forward, as movement is the only thing you really need.
To wrap up the Millennial series, a quote from Osho speaking about responsibility:

"God, fate, destiny - these are bogus words, mumbo jumbo, nothing more than that. Drop them completely, because dropping them will make you an individual, fully responsible for your acts. And unless you take the responsibility on yourself, you will never become strong, you will never become independent, you will never have the taste of freedom. You can have freedom. But the cost is to accept responsibility in its totality."
